Andy is back in Bruges, and has been busy !!

Not only restarting Your Bruges, but also getting more involved with organizations by and for guides in Bruges. Most recently, together with six other like-minded great thinkers, these dynamic gentlemen started up 'BrUG'. BrUG stands for 'Brugse Unie der Gidsen' (Bruges Union for Guides). All seven have the same idea: tourism has changed, people don't need a history-class when visiting a city. It's more an experience, a fun way to discover the city. Strange maybe, but this is something Andy was already thinking ever since he graduated as a certified guide back in 2016!
But what is one man amongst the giants? When you have associations with +500 members, it is more united. However, the way those guilds bring walks is no longer adjusted to what tourists look for.
With the support of the City of Bruges, the new association of more dynamic minded guides was founded, with Andy being a member of the board of directors.
Does this mean Andy won't be offering his walks? Most certainly not! Andy will keep on showing people the city in his own specific, quirky and fun way.
But, when someone is interviewed and finds this (with a picture) in the newspapers, that is something we can talk about!

Below you find the article, written in Dutch. But, a translation is provided next to the article.

By the way, Andy is the handsome young man in the middle, with the white shirt. ;-)
